Had a killer time out in Joshua Tree with friends from back home.. we rented dune buggies for the day, which was WAY more fun than I imagined, and went off-roading in a 4WD Jeep, which got us lost for about 4 hours. Even that was fun! There’s something very inspiring and spiritual about the desert. The vast expanse of barren nothingness bearing down on you, all the road signs telling you what to do and highway billboards telling you where to go are replaced with obtuse Joshua trees and all manner of vegetation expressing a type of sacred geometry. It’s small wonder the desert is the congregation place for fasting, vision questing and revelation.
